DAYS 102 – 106: PANAMA

From Manuel Antonio National Park your overland tour will take you across the border from Costa Rica into Panama, heading for the town of Boquete.  You will have a full day here to take part in some of the many optional outdoor activities which the town is famous for, including the opportunity to take the strenuous trek to the 3,478m summit of Volcán Barú, the highest point in Panama.

From Boquete you will drive to the small coastal town of Santa Clara on your way towards Panama City.

Your final drive on this epic overland tour of Central & North America will take you via the Miraflores Visitor Centre at the world-famous Panama Canal, learning all about its controversial history and incredible role in shaping trade and world politics in the 20th century.

You will then drive into Panama City where you have one night’s accommodation included as part of the tour, and the chance to celebrate the end of this incredible travel experience.  If you would like to fully explore the city we recommend you stay for another couple of nights after the tour finishes.
